You just can't recover from a 2 inch cockroach running across your table.
We realize there is a vermin/vector problem in EVERY restaurant or facility, you do not expect to have a nearly 2 inch cockroach run across your table!
So,
It has good deals and good food. A nice environment it's clean and easy to find. But the service was off, they did everything slowly and it was not busy they where slow to seat us, it took 7 minutes before they asked about our drinks and another 15 to order. The food took about 30 min. And I had 4 waiters. Plus they have this system where there is a tablet on the table and they don't tell you it charges money to play. This place is like a dennys that serves beer.
This my first time here at Apple Bee's in Hanford CA. The wait to get seated was long. When, we get seated they sat us at a messy table. The seats were dirty with food on them. The service was ok, felt rushed to order. We asked for our check, and they lady looked at us, and was on the phone we waited 10 minutes before she came to our table. Mind you its my first time ti this place. Then, to top it off it felt as if they turned on the heater as if it wasn't hot enough already ugh. Not good. Besides that, the frozen strawberry lemonade is to die for, and the hot wings are bomb.
Management comped our meal (that we DID NOT eat, because we were only 2 bites in when this monstrosity ran across the table), so big the adjoining tables saw it!
Poor seating time.. even though there's ample empty tables... if your not interested in happy hour don't expect to be seated any time soon..
We couldn't eat, due to the fact we did NOT know where it came from, and the staff had literally just brought our plates from the kitchen. We believe he was on the plate the entire time!
The restaurant was as clean as expected, and the manager even stated they have a regular vector control guy who sprays.
Every time we go, we pretty much have the same order. They can't seem to get the grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, and broccoli out hot. Either the chicken is scalding hot and the sides are ice cold, or the sides are scalding and the chicken is luke warm. The wait staff seem to take it personally when you say, don't worry about it, we know it's not your fault. I'm just waiting on them to figure out, warming up the plates prior to placing food on them keeps the food hot.
